How one physician blog may have cost him millions

May 31st, 2007

Just in case you hadn't heard, go over to KevinMD for this post about Dr. Flea, a physician blog that was used against him in a lawsuit.

And yes, the blog is now non-existent.

On the topic of malpractice, have you heard of this new malpractice prevention book called PHYSICIAN, PROTECT THYSELF co-written by a defense lawyer and physician? My colleague's malpractice insurance company sent him a copy but I can't find the book myself. According to his copy its endorsed by the AMA, Harvard, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, etc. and is a simple, practical guide how not to get sued. Please post if you know where I can get a copy of what sounds like a very important tool.

nice find! go to amazon.com and search for "physician, protect thyself" - it will be the 1st listed and you can order it from there.
